How to read this
The figure quoted is a starting point for an event of standard scope. The final price depends chiefly on the menu, which is what separates the bottom of the range from the top. Corporate figures are net of VAT - the card carries a marker where that applies.
The list of what is included matters more than the number itself. Two offers at the same price can differ in waiting service, tableware and drinks, and those are the items that decide what you end up paying on top.

Frequently asked questions
What does the price depend on?
Three things, in this order: the menu, the number of guests and the length of the event. Catering is usually the largest item, at 35-45% of the budget. Room hire itself weighs less than most people assume.
Are the prices net or gross?
For corporate events - banquets, galas, team events, Christmas parties and picnics - the figures are net, with VAT added on the invoice. For private parties and the New Year ball ticket, the figure shown is the price a guest pays.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
Yes. Food is the other way round: catering is ours only, because the kitchen works on site and external caterers are not admitted.
Do weekend and weekday prices differ?
No. The same rate applies at the weekend and midweek, in season and out of it. What changes the figure is the menu and the number of guests.
What deposit is required and when?
20% of the order value when the date is booked. Until it is paid the date is held provisionally.
What is the minimum number of guests?
100 guests, for every type of event. The exception is the New Year's ball, where tickets are sold per person.
Can we hire the hall without catering?
Not as a separate arrangement - hire is included in the per-person price and is not billed on its own. We also do not hire the hall by the hour.
How far in advance should we book?
At least a month before the event, for both weddings and corporate parties. December dates go fastest, so Christmas parties are worth asking about earlier.
